Basic Payroll Processing
Basic payroll processing consists of gathering information (via phone, fax, modem, or
Internet), accurately processing data (calculating gross pay, employee and employer taxes,
deductions or adjustments, benefits, and net pay), and the timely delivery of paychecks
and management reports weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly, monthly, quarterly, or any
combination of frequencies.

Software
In addition to phone, fax, or Internet, you can enter your information into our leading-edge software
program at your site and then transmit your payroll to Precise Pay for
processing via a dial-up modem or a dedicated
connection (such as DSL or a T1). The software includes a robust Human
Resources module, user defined security (can be field specific), an easy to
use yet powerful report writer, all reports can export in many common
formats ranging from ASCII to Excel, and pre-process registers allow you to
review your information before sending it to us for processing. This
solution provides you with the highest level of flexibility, control, convenience, and multiple levels of
security.

Payroll Processing
Precise Pay offers a 100%
online solution to your payroll needs, providing a complete set of
features in an easy to use, Web-based package. You have the ability
to add, change, or delete company and employee level information, process
payroll, and view and print reports directly from any Web browser. You can also calculate manual checks as well as
"gross-ups" (you simply input the desired net pay and the system
will automatically calculate the corresponding gross pay amount), import
time clock information, and utilize Employee Self-Service features
(employees can view prior payroll checks and basic demographics while
submitting change requests all online). User defined security allows
multiple locations to see and enter just their information.
Standard Reports
In addition to the employees checks and check stubs, Precise Pay provides basic
reports which consist of the following items: a Payroll Check Register (details the gross
to net breakdown for each employee); a Payroll Summary (summarizes the company totals for
gross wages, employer liabilities, employee taxes, deductions or benefits, net pay, and a
detailed breakdown of our service fee); and a Next Payroll Worksheet for the following
payroll. At the end of each quarter and at year-end, you receive
signature ready federal and state payroll tax returns if you do not participate in the
following service.
Tax Deposits
and Tax Returns
Precise Pay provides automatic tax filing and tax payment services as part of our basic
service. This includes the preparation and submission of federal, state, and local payroll
tax returns and the deposit of related payroll tax funds with the appropriate tax
authority in all 50 states. Precise Pay is a registered bulk filer with the IRS, holds all
client tax funds in a separate tax escrow account, and is fully EFTPS compliant. We also
assume responsibility for timely and accurate tax deposits and tax return filings for
your company.
Direct Deposit
As part of our basic service, we can electronically deposit your employees net pay
directly into their bank accounts via ACH with as little as 12 hours notice in some cases.
Employees receive a detailed direct deposit pay stub for their records.
New Hire Reporting
Federal and State legislation requires employers to report certain information for all new
hires (designed to help states enforce child support judgments as well as prevent
fraudulent workers compensation and unemployment claims). As part of our basic
service, we can either file the information directly with the State or provide a report
that you can fax or mail to the State.
Laser Check
Signing/Stuffing/Sealing
Laser-encoded signatures printed directly onto paychecks during payroll processing
eliminates the need to sign payroll checks. Add envelope stuffing and sealing, and
pre-signed paychecks can be delivered directly to multiple locations ready to distribute.
Precise Checks
Precise Checks consists of one simple debit for all of your companys net
pay while individual payroll checks are written against Precise Pays escrow
account. The Precise Check option eases or eliminates such things as bank statement
reconciliation, canceling lost or stolen checks, dealing with uncashed items, etc.
Third
Party/Garnishment Checks & Electronic Transfers
Not only does Precise Pay handle the calculation of third party payments (such as those to
government agencies for garnishments or to benefit providers for 401k or S125), but we
can also produce checks or electronically transfer funds for any combination of
deductions and/or benefits.
Time and Attendance Systems
The cost associated with managing time cards is tremendous (click here for specific figures). As such,
Precise Pay has teamed up with leading Time and Attendance System providers to offer an
integrated, turn-key solution.
Advanced Reports
We offer a wide variety of specialized reports ranging from Vacation/Sick
Accrual (by hours and/or dollar amounts), General
Ledger, Workers' Compensation, Benefits Reporting (401k, S125), Tip Allocation and
Tip Credit, Labor Distribution, Job Costing, Union Certified Payroll, and
customized accounting packages. We also offer
Custom Reporting in order to provide precisely what you need from your reports.
